Dear Instructors, Coaches, and Athletes,
I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all of you who have supported and developed Taekwondo as a world sport. It is with honor
and great pleasure that I extend to you my personal invitation to participate in the 2025 AAU Taekwondo Super Regional
Championships – This is a NATIONAL QUALIFIER EVENT. This event will be held on Saturday, March 01, 2025, at the 80,000 Square
Foot VENUE, South Hall (San Jose Convention Center).
We anticipate that the number of registered athletes will reach 800 this year.
This event is a great opportunity for all new & returning athletes to compete! Every athlete has a chance to become this year’s
AAU Regional Champion!
Athletes from any part of the U.S may participate in this event for extra mat practice and prepare for the Nationals and
International Open Events.
Over 50 WT International Referees & AAU Certified Referees will be officiating at this event.
TRADITIONAL FORMS, TEAM FORMS, WEAPONS FORMS, OPEN FORMS, SPORT POOMSAE, DEMO TEAM, BOARD
BREAKING, POINT SPARRING, OLYMPIC SPARRING, AND PARA DIVISIONS.
CUSTOM MEDALS! The top four (4) in each division will receive a large custom medal designed specifically for this event.
Special Awards & Gifts will be given to the teams that have the most participants and Best Coach.
A special Taekwondo demonstration will be performed by the Shinwoohoe Demonstration Team from South Korea during the
Opening Ceremony.
This event will be using current AAU Taekwondo rules. The tournament committee reserves the right to change the number and duration of
rounds and/or combine weight divisions as needed to create the optimal competition experience for all competitors.

championship. Regular registration will end on February 15th at 11:59pm Pacific Time.
Black Belts Ages 10 & up are required to have KP&P E-foot gear for the Olympic Sparring competition. To ensure athletes have the
right size and availability on the E-foot gear, we recommend athletes contact https://dynamicsworld.com/adidas-kpnp-pss/adidas-kp-p-e-
foot-protector.html before the championships, as early as possible.
Everyone must be an AAU member to compete, coach, or to officiate. Officials must complete the AAU online referee clinic and attend an
in-person referee seminar (hand signals) to officiate at this event. Coaches must take the AAU coach’s online course by the time of
registration for the coaching credentials. All Participants who compete in the qualifying events will qualify automatically to participate at
the AAU National Championships (June 29 th – July 5 th , 2025 at Salt Lake City, Utah).
