2025 AAU Taekwondo Super Regional Championship has a NO REFUNDS policy. All athletes and coaches must register and pay in full. If payment is not received by the deadline (February 23, 2025), competitor(s) will be disqualified.
All Participants who compete in the qualifying events will qualify automatically to participate at the AAU National Championships (June 29th – July 5th, 2025 at Salt Lake City, Utah).
Referees: All referees must meet at the South Hall (McEnery Convention Center), 435 South Market Street, San Jose, CA 95113, no later than 8:00am on Saturday. Note: All referees MUST complete the online course and attend a practical training anytime before February 01, 2025.
Event Credentials – All participants will receive an event credential when they arrive to the event check-in. Weigh-ins will be required for ONLY Olympic Sparring Black Belts Ages 10 & Up on Friday, February 28th from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm at the South Hall (McEnery Convention Center), 435 South Market Street, San Jose, CA 95113.
Note: Olympic Sparring Black Belts ONLY Ages 10 & Up MUST provide a valid ID to pick-up credential and to weigh-in.
There will be no exception to this policy. Valid ID are the following: School ID, State Issued ID, Passport, or birth certificate. If the athlete is a minor and does not have a valid ID, then the parent/legal guardian must provide a copy of their birth certificate. The participant’s credentials are not valid for an adult, parent, or sibling of that participant. This event is a qualifier for the AAU National Championship – credential must be pickup with a valid ID for athletes or for the coaches.
Coach: To obtain a Coach Pass, you must take the online quiz at https://aautaekwondo.org/page.php?page_id=124567 then register online for the Coaching Credential at www.aautkdregion13.com by February 23, 2025.
Coach’s Dress code: Coach’s attire will be enforced at this tournament — NO EXCEPTIONS: Warm-up pants and official blue AAU shirt. Coach’s shirt can be purchased at the online at https://www.aamasupply.com
Spectators: All spectators (unless a designated Referee, or a Volunteer) must purchase an admission ticket and may not enter the arena floor at any time. Tickets will be available online or at the door the day of the tournament.
VIP: VIP credential can be purchased online or at the door the day of the event for $150.00 (includes: VIP Lounge, phone charging station, 1 Free Lunch Voucher, Floor Access, Chair at ring side during competition)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The tournament director may modify some rules according to the local conditions. Director also reserves the right to combine or divide weight categories depending on the size of the group. 2025 AAU Taekwondo Super Regional Championship will apply the most current AAU Taekwondo Handbook.
This event is Licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the US Inc
All participants must have a current AAU Membership. AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event. AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins except where the event operator has a laptop available with an internet connection. Be Prepared: Adult and non-athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at event. Please allow 10 days for membership to be processed. Participants are encouraged to visit the AAU website https://aautaekwondo.org to obtain their membership.
